Paying the EVUS Fee: Credit Card and Security

To successfully complete the EVUS enrollment it is necessary to pay the EVUS fee using a credit or debit card. The card details are protected through encryption and are only stored for as long as necessary. Most major credit cards are accepted.

Enrolling with EVUS is a requirement for citizens of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) including Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. To complete the EVUS registration, it is necessary to have a valid passport with at least 6 months remaining from the date of arrival, and a B1, B2 or B1/B2 visitor visa.

EVUS is expected to be expanded to include more countries in the future. The application only takes a matter of minutes. Travelers should apply at least 72 hours before their trip to allow time for any possible complications.

Will my bank details and my personal information be secure?

It is natural to be cautious about providing your credit card details online. In the EVUS registration process you need to give your bank details as well as other personal information but applicants should not be concerned.

The EVUS registration uses advanced technology to protect all of the information provided by applicants. The program was designed by the Department of Homeland Security and uses the same levels of security as other branches of the United States government.

All data is collected securely and protected using cutting-edge encryption systems to prevent fraudulent third-parties from accessing it. EVUS is subject to the same laws and regulations that govern similar screening programs.

What other information do I need to provide to enroll with EVUS?

The EVUS form requires applicants to enter a range of information including their contact details, date of birth, passport details, and employment history. In total the whole process takes around 20 minutes.

Applicants also need to provide their travel plans. This includes providing the address of where they will be staying during their time in America and a point of contact in the U.S.

After submission, applicants are given an enrollment number which can be used to check the status of the application. Travelers should complete the application at least 72 hours before setting off to the States to allow time for possible delays and complications.
